For five decades and a year, the Palawan Electric Cooperative (Paleco) has remained steadfast and committed in its mission to be a member-consumer-owner (MCO) focused electric cooperative, dedicated to provide quality electric service. Paleco, without a doubt, has encountered challenges like any other establishment. Those challenges are inevitable, yet, we choose to see them as an opportunity to grow and be better in our performance, and deliver reliable electricity service. We will continue to stand firm and be united and progressive in serving our beloved MCOs with excellence.

This remarkable milestone reflects PALECO’s enduring commitment to serve its Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) with dedication, transparency, and a deep sense of responsibility. For more than four decades, PALECO has remained true to its mission of powering homes, livelihoods, and dreams across Palawan.

I also commend PALECO’s unwavering resiliency in the face of adversity. Through natural calamities, logistical challenges, and changing energy landscapes, PALECO has stood firm – adapting, responding, and continuing to deliver on its promise to the communities it serves.

Above all, we recognize PALECO’s belief that rural electrification is not merely a job, but an advocacy – a moral and social obligation to reach even the most remote corners or our province. Your work brings more that electricity; it brings hope, progress, and opportunity.

As Chairperson of the Interim Board, I would like to express my sincerest appreciation to each one of you who took the time to be with us today, your presence reflects your genuine concern and active participation in the affairs of our cooperative. It is through your involvement that we continue to grow, to face our challenges head-on, and to reach new milestones in our mission to provide reliable and sustainable electricity to every household in Palawan.

In today’s assembly we will present the accomplishments of the past year, our financial standing, and the social development plans we are undertaking to further strengthen our services. Your insights, questions, and engagement are vital as we move forward – together.

Let us continue to build a cooperative that not only powers our communities, but also empowers our lives.

As PALECO continues to energize homes, businesses and institutions across Palawan, the ERC remains steadfast in its commitment to support the cooperative through responsive and enabling regulation. Together, let us power a future where every community in Palawan is powered-not only by electricity, but by hope, opportunity, and the shared promise of inclusive and sustainable progress.

Despite the uncertainties faced by your cooperative, PALECO persevered and proved its dedication to safeguarding the integrity of the cooperative and the welfare of its coverage areas.
